Pacific Northwest Vakay Day 5

Day 5: This might have been my favorite day on the whole trip! We took a drive using the Sea to Sky highway towards ski country. We were planning to head up to Whistler for a peak to peak gondola ride, but we ran out of time and again-still no map...Instead Matt found a brand new gondola ride that just opened in Squamish. Just opened as in like 7 weeks ago opened. Driving along the Sea to Sky highway was amazingly beautiful!

We got close to the gondola ride, but first we saw this amazing waterfall. I know this is a terrible picture, but do you see how gorgeous this is?

Nevertheless, we made it. Take a look at what we were in for. It looked like a long ways up!

We started our journey to the top.

Check out a video of our ride by clicking here

It was a long ways!!! What a cool ride!

We made it, and had another even more amazing view. Check out this guy! He could be their new social marketer.

We met the NICEST lady that we asked to take our picture. It is amazing the people you meet when you want a picture. Most are nice and offer a friendly "hope it turned out!" This lady actually held a conversation with us, asking us where we were from, what we do, etc. and she told us about her. She was so sweet! Of course, you guessed it, she was Canadian.

So we didn't get to experience the Capilano Suspension Bridge, but this place had one too. And it was pretty awesome!

Here is the view walking across the bridge you can see by clicking here

Then we took a hike around the peak of the mountain.

Hello gorgeousness!

It was such a beautiful, peaceful trip. We enjoyed lunch at the top, and I must say all of our meals in Canada were SO AMAZING!
We then headed south and had to say goodbye to our new favorite city, Vancouver.

Remember the other day when I told you the people of Covington told us about a place in Washington we HAD to visit. Well it just so happens we were going to drive right by it so we had to stop. That place was Snoqualmie Falls.Basically all you need to know about this place is that it is a 270' waterfall.
And here it is.

It was such a cool addition to our trip. It also helped break up the monotony of driving as we were trying to get all the way across Washington.
You can check out a live shot of the falls, here.

We stayed the night in Spokane and took a little drive around to check out Gonzaga. After looking back through these pictures, I might have to say this was my favorite day. It is hard to pick just one because each day was magnificent in its own way, but there was something so amazing about this day. Stay tuned as we finish our trip with the big national park leg. Be prepared for some more beautiful pictures! This country is so amazing!!
