Neighborhood Pool Party

*My apologies, I thought this posted on 8/29. Just pretend we are still in August!

I believe the heat has FINALLY broken! It is now bearable to be outside early in the morning and in the evening!! Over the weekend we hosted a pool party and invited our neighbors over. To be honest, we looked at the forecast and were worried because it was only going to be 99 degrees! We thought it might be too cold!! (Not even joking!!) Since it was "cool", I finally felt I could put food outside!

Jenny is THE BEST neighbor, and helped us out a ton with the party! Also did you notice our new Husker sign in the background?? (Grandma, we stole this from your house!) We get lots of compliments on it!

Matt and Abby both love the pool and were eager to get in!

Pete and Ginger used to live next door, but they are always up for a pool party and came back to see us!

Austin and Miranda will be adding the next baby to our neighborhood this spring!

Everyone always does a great job of bringing lots of food to share!

We smoked brisket on the Traeger and Jenny brought over pulled pork. We are getting better and better at this BBQ thing!

We had a great time with everyone :) It is always fun to catch up on the lives of those we live so close to!
When you serve really good food, you also get really yummy leftovers! We drafted our church league fantasy teams on Sunday with some BBQ nachos.

Speaking of fantasy drafts, I am ranked #1!! (We'll see how long that lasts...)

We had the screen doors open until 11:30!! But then it got too hot, and the A/C had to go back on... Football, comfort food, and screen doors-we are ready for fall over here!
