Christmas in Colorado

After Nolan's graduation, we packed up our bags and headed to Colorado for a few days.
We met up with Matt's whole family for an early Christmas party. Matt got to play Santa for the second year in a row. He loves it!

Once Matt's family went back home, we spent the next few days checking out the sights of Colorado. Isn't is gorgeous?!

We took the Coors brewery tour in Golden.

It was pretty fun and educational. We then walked around downtown Golden to eat lunch and see the sights.

It was so pretty walking along the creek.

Then we drove up Mt. Zion to get a beautiful view of downtown Golden and Denver.

Then we headed into Denver to check out the zoo lights. We seriously had the best time!!

They even had some of the real animals out and about.

The underwater section may have been my favorite part of the whole place!

There were a couple zoo keepers watching over the giraffes, and Matt had a great time asking them questions. We spent over 45 minutes in the giraffe room, but it was nice to be out of the cold!

The next day we headed up to Estes. The snow just started to fall as we drove into town. Our first stop was the famous Stanley Hotel.

It was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

We then headed downtown for lunch at a cute little cafe. We walked up and down the streets and did a little shopping, too.

That night my family came into town for the Nuggets vs. Lakers game. We walked from our hotel to the game and got to enjoy more of the festive lights.

It was Matt's birthday so he chose where we ate which was of course, pizza!

The game was fun, and I made sure I got lots of pictures of Kobe!

Hope you are enjoying catching up on our Christmas celebrations. It is nice to relive some of the magic of Christmas!
