Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Okay, now we get to real Christmas! Once we returned back from Colorado, we headed to Beatrice to see Matt's family. We had lunch and opened present on Christmas Eve. Then we headed back to Bertrand to celebrate with my family. I had so much fun wrapping presents this year!

Here we are on Christmas Eve!

My whole family enjoyed Christmas Eve at my aunt Heather's. We had some really good steaks and other goodies! We always have a gift exchange that gets a little more exciting every year! This year the hot items were tools, a Swell water bottle, and a Nebraska shaped cutting board.

Then we headed downstairs for a really intense game involving dice and cards. It got pretty loud, but we had a great time!
Christmas morning we searched the house to find where Santa hid our stockings.

Then we opened presents from each other. Apparently, my mom complained about how Jadyn had wrapped her presents so Jadyn decided to re-do it by wrapping it in every kind of wrapping paper they own! It was pretty fun to watch!

Christmas Day was at my aunt DeDe's. She had a tablecloth she had had everyone that attends Christmas at her house write on.

After lunch we decorated ugly sweater cookies.

Then we opened more presents!

These two were so proud of their boot holders!

We decided to have another gift exchange with this side of the family for the first time. The parameters were interesting: spending limit-$10, the items must use letters from your name, and it should be some of your favorite things or something you use nearly every day. Everyone interpreted the rules a little bit differently so it became really tough to guess who gave each gift. We also were going to pick a winner but decided everyone won so we all got to draw a "prize". This was probably the most entertaining part of the whole day because most of the prizes were not planned. Some of the best included a food tent, Ramen, and a bacon bowl.

I think I fared pretty well on my gift!

Christmas was spent the best way, with my family enjoying lots of great food and hilarious moments!
