Babymoon-Florence

Onto Part 5 of our trip. Thanks for sticking with me so far! We arrived in Florence on the evening after our day in Venice. Our hotel was close to downtown so we took a walk to check out all the action. We walked along the river for a gorgeous view of the city.

We grabbed more pizza that night, and our waiter was amazing! He made us feel so welcome. I think we will be back to Florence for his hospitality alone!

Our hotel was run by the sweetest family. There was even a chocolate on my pillow!

They had these really heavy keys, and aren't they so cute?!

We also had a towel warmer in our bathroom. We made sure to use this!!

The next morning we headed back to see the sights with a short walk to downtown.

Here is the Ponte Vecchio, one of the only bridges with shops still remaining on it.

There were so many sculptures to see!

We walked past this museum where it seemed like every tourist in all of Florence was waiting to get in. I guess we will have to come back and go inside next time!

We were able to see several amazing sculptures, similar to the ones inside the museum.

We started walking toward the Florence Cathedral and were in awe when walking towards "the dome."

This church was amazingly beautiful!

Obviously, I couldn't get enough of this place! We walked back through the streets towards our hotel and found more beautiful buildings.

After a walk across the Ponte Vecchio, we drove up to the Michaelangelo Plaza to catch some breathtaking views of the city.

Florence is absolutely beautiful! We saw the most Americans there at this point in our trip. I had no idea there was so much to see in Florence. If there was one part of our trip we were thinking about skipping over, it was going to be Florence. If there is one part of our trip I am so glad we saw, it is Florence. You never know what you are going to get until you get there. See you back here Monday for our day in Rome!
