Scandinavia Trip: Norway-Flam and others

We booked our first ever Air BnB, and we did it in Norway! Our hotel in Copenhagen was teeny-tiny so it was great to have our own space! They even had toys out for Ramsey!

We all slept really well because Ramsey got her own room! We enjoyed breakfast the next morning. Apparently it is pretty standard in Norway to have a sauna in every home, and our Air B&B was no different so Matt was sure to take advantage of that!

Ramsey had fun playing with all the toys!

The view from our place was so gorgeous! They live across the valley from a big ski resort. We want to go back and stay a whole week!

Ready for a fun day exploring Norway!

She thought it would be just fine to walk outside barefoot! It was a little chilly in the morning!

We headed to Flam and drove through a very long tunnel. They had places you could pull over to feel the rock!

We got to Flam and took the Flamsbana-a train that took us up into the mountains!

Ram really made herself at home!

There were so many beautiful waterfalls!

This was formerly the center of town. Simply gorgeous!

The views were amazing!!

We hopped off the train when we got to the top and checked things out for a few minutes!

The train stopped at one waterfall that was so incredibly beautiful!

We hopped off the train for a few minutes when we got to the top.

After the train, we enjoyed lunch along the shore.

It was getting a little bit cold! But the views were breathtaking!

Ramsey played at the park for a little while.

There were some pretty spectacular views behind us!

There were trolls everywhere!

Have you ever seen a better backdrop behind a playground?

Ramsey tried to keep up with the big kids!

She loves the slide!

We headed back inside to do a bit more shopping.

As we were walking back towards our car, I noticed the hotel had a "Roomba" lawn mower. I don't actually know what they call them...turns out they are VERY popular in Scandinavia. This was the first of many that we saw of these things!

We missed the ferry that goes through the fjords, but we looked on the map and saw there was a little town a few miles up the road that overlooks a fjord.

I walked out onto a dock and felt like I was standing in the middle of the fjord!

We walked around the tiny town and also saw many gorgeous views!

Is this even real?! It is!

I was slightly confused how they got this tractor all the way out here. It was at the top of a narrow hill, too!

There was a gorgeous stream through town that led out to the ocean.

We walked up a hill on the opposite side of town and found the most amazing views!

This might have been Matt's favorite stop on our entire trip!

It's so fun when the best things that you do and see aren't planned!

We continued on our way to our next hotel. We stopped for dinner at a little place on a lake.

Matt has been practicing his throwing skills. Ramsey loves to fly!

My cute little family!

The church was beautiful across the street from the restaurant.

The views along our drive were spectacular!

There were huge glaciers!

We arrived at our hotel, and little missy took over mom's bed for a minute!

We got to bed early that night to get up before dawn for our hike. Stay tuned for more beautiful pictures!
