A Week of Ramsey

As most of you know, we welcomed our baby into the world on September 21. We had a girl, Ramsey Belle and are so in love with her!! We have been happily adjusting to life as a family of three and taking lots of pictures. She is almost two weeks old so I thought we could look back at her first week of life!
Her first picture-on the scale. The doctors guessed she would weigh about 8 1/2 pounds, but they were almost an entire pound off as she came in at 9 pounds, 7 oz! As you can see, she hardly fits on the scale.

Dad's first time holding Ramsey.

I think she is going to get away with a lot around him!

All wrapped up and ready to be loved on.

These flowers from my family were delivered to our room right before we switched to our recovery room. Talk about perfect timing!

She loves to look around and make eye contact already.

We moved into our recovery room later that evening. We had a big corner room that was recently renovated. It was super nice!

We also had an awesome view with the palm trees in the foreground and San Tan in the back.

Friday morning we decided to have a little photo shoot so that we had better pictures to send out to everyone as we announced her arrival. Since she came a few days late, I had extra time at home to make a banner with her name on it. We had a banner ready with a girl's name and a boy's name.

Our first selfie as a family of three.

Later we hung her banner up in our room.

Friday afternoon, Lovie arrived!!

We had some other guests too, including my boss, Kathy.

Matt's relatives, Kaye and Blair, who will be referring to themselves as the "Arizona grandparents!"

They were so excited to meet her!

Our old neighbors, Pete and Ginger also stopped by to meet Ramsey.

She was tired out from all her visitors.

It took a while for her to be delivered after my water broke so they wanted us to stay an extra night to keep an eye on her. Jennifer came to visit us Saturday morning.

Lovie came back to take lots of selfies!

There were newborn photographers that came into our room to take some pictures of her. She was wide awake for them!

Then we got dressed and ready to go home!

Her first car ride!

We made it home!

We came home to this awesome banner! Anyone want to claim they put it up for us?? We still don't know who to thank. Whoever it was, thank you from the bottom of our heart. That was awesome!

Jenny found her "It's a Girl" sign to put out for us as well!

We worked on taking a milestone picture, but Ramsey was not in the best mood!

So here is one of the sign by itself. Hopefully these pictures will get better!

Matt decided to fix our fan (that has been broken for seven months) as soon as we got home from the hospital. He had to borrow some tools from Austin so he and Miranda got to come over and meet baby Ramsey!

We went out for our first walk. I wasn't able to make it very far so it was not like the ones she got used to during the last couple months of pregnancy.

Sunday morning she took her first sponge bath at home.

Sometimes she makes really cute faces!

Hanging out, watching football with dad on Sunday.

Jenny, Vinnie, and Abby stopped by to meet Ramsey. I think Abby and Ramsey are going to get in lots of trouble together!

Monday we headed to our first pediatrician's appointment.

She did great! We heard other babies crying in different rooms, but she was very calm while the doctor was in there.

We came home and Matt and Ramsey did a workout!

Uncle Nolan was so excited when she was born and luckily it rained a ton which stopped harvest for a few days so he got on a plane to come meet his niece!

And he brought great grandpa Paul!

His first great granddaughter.

I made some cookie pies as birth announcement cookies for our visitors.

Matt's parents sent flowers and a balloon.

Nolan was so excited to FINALLY be able to wear his "uncle" shirt. We gave him this shirt back in February when we told my family we were expecting.

She is going to be one active girl! She already likes her play gym.

My friend Sara also stopped by to visit between her clients. I think she is a little bit smitten!

Such an adorable face! All fed and happy to be here!

She LOVES tummy time! She is one strong girl.

Story time with daddy.

At one week old, we took her newborn pictures. I was trying on her headbands the night before to find a few for our photo shoot.

As you can tell, this girl is well loved. Week two in bringing us more visitors and lots more pictures. I will post more again soon!
