I am back!

You know you haven't blogged in a long time when your dad tweets about it! I am back! Yes, we have been a little busy, but mostly my computer has been acting very strange especially when I was getting online. I have been avoiding using it for a while! But I THINK Matt has fixed it. What a wonderful husband! I'm so glad he is interested in fixing all the things I am not! So I think it is about time I filled you in after my unexpected leave of absence.

Well a few weeks ago we decided to buy a Keurig. We had picked up a coupon for one at the Super Bowl festivities and went for it! I don't care for coffee so maybe it seems a little silly to buy a coffee maker...Here was my first brew!

We love it!! I am surprised how often it gets used (more than once a day).

We have also been working on a few house projects. We finally finished our window benches with pillows! We ended up making all of them (except the detailed ones in the middle).

Come on over and take a sit! It is a fun little reading nook. :)

I also missed Valentine's Day on here. We got some of our favorite BoSa Donuts!!

Other than that, we have been soaking up the sun with hikes on most weekends.

We have been frequenting South Mountain since it has so many trails and is the closest mountain to our house. We usually see less than 10 people which is nice to not have to fight the crowds!

We have also been enjoying citrus at the end of its season. We have had lots of fresh squeezed lemonade off our own tree. I enjoy adding a frozen tangelo cube to spice up my water. We also have gotten tons of grapefruit from my grandparents and Matt's cousins. It's been so great!

I have also been trying our some more new recipes. We tried these simple cinnamon rolls the other day. Matt has already requested them again! As always, you can find them on my Pinterest page!

What a quick update!! More to come soon!

Phoenix Hosts the World

Phoenix was the place to be last weekend. We decided we better check out some of the action! Friday night we headed to downtown Phoenix to check out some of the Super Bowl things. Again, didn't bring my camera so these are all courtesy of my phone.

There were all kinds of booths to check out.

It was pretty crazy!

We made it to the mecca of games-The Puppy Bowl!!

We used to watch this every year!! The field was much smaller than I expected!

Then we headed over to the Tostitos area. They had all kinds of fun games.

And free food!!

We got a little silly.

And enjoyed more free food-Keurig!

It was a pretty cool atmosphere.

Saturday we were up early to head to the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament.

These are terrible pictures, but here is Bubba Watson teeing off.

Here was the winner!

We had such a great time! It was one wild weekend. We have definitely kept it pretty low key since then! Hope you enjoyed all my random pictures today!! Have a great week!

Vegas Weekend

Hello again friends! For my birthday, Matt planned a little getaway for us to Vegas for the weekend.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo and had a pretty good view of the strip from our room.

Friday night, we grabbed some food and went to go check things out. We forgot our camera so I only had my phone-I apologize for the poor quality.

We headed over to the Bellagio. We enjoyed a fountain show, always a favorite of ours!

We headed inside and checked out more of the beauty.

Friday was my actual birthday so we enjoyed a little gelato to celebrate!

Saturday we did a little shopping at the outlets. I had a blast! I think Matt even had fun too!
We came back to the strip and did some more walking.

We headed to the Luxor to enjoy a midday buffet.

Here was my first plate...

And here was my last...I won't share how many were in between! ;)

I think we were there about two hours! Haha, we took several breaks. It was great!
We then headed back to our hotel and spent a little time at the pool. That night we had tickets to Mystere, Cirque du Soleil. It was so incredible!!! I recommend it everyone!

We spent the rest of the evening walking around (again!) and checking out more of the strip.

Sunday morning we spent a little time gambling. We doubled our money which was enough to cover our room bill! I think we may have to head back again soon! (Okay, okay, we bet $1...) It was a great way to celebrate my birthday with my favorite guy! Come back soon and I will share our bucket lists with you!!
