Tucson Conference

At the end of July, I headed to the world Autism & Asperger's Association conference in Tucson with one of my co-workers. We stayed at Ventana Canyon, and it was so beautiful! Again I just have to show you one picture of hotel room. Is this not the widest shower you have ever seen???

The conference was also so amazing. I learned so many practical things to bring back with me! I bought a couple books of things to start working on as well as learn more about. I am very excited to implement some of the new strategies I learned. Also the food we ate while we were there was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We had such a great time. I have several nature pictures to share with you-take it or leave it.

There was a really cute pathway throughout the resort that had all kinds of gorgeous scenery.

The path led to an 80 foot natural waterfall. There was a really cool story about how the resort moved its location as they were building it to preserve this waterfall.

This was the view from the lobby of the resort. :)

The last morning there we saw a cardinal on our balcony.

Before we took off we drove up Mt. Lemmon. It was so gorgeous!

There was a storm rolling in which was kind of cool to watch from above!

There were so many different terrains along the drive.

We had such a great time! Talk to you all again soon. :)

A Visit from the College Girls

After our trip to Nebraska, my sister, Jadyn, and her friend, Sheridan, came back to Arizona with us. It was Sheridan's first time flying, and she did wonderful! Sheridan chronicled their trip on Facebook and Instagram with little tidbits of each day. We first took them to Chick-fil-a, another first for Sheridan.

They filled their time sitting by the pool, going out to eat, and doing a little exploring while Matt and I were at work. We took them out to a few places. We started with TopGolf.

Matt thought it would be cool to take them to the one in Scottsdale so we could watch the lights on the resort behind us.

We also headed down to Tucson for Dancing with the Stars, Live!

It seriously might have been one the best things I've ever been to! It made me so happy!

Old Town Scottsdale was next on the list to take them out to dinner.

Saturday we planned to take them to Fossil Creek, but apparently there are only so many parking spots available. It had closed by seven am that morning so we modified our plan and checked out the Natural Bridge instead. They all grabbed their bags, and we went for a hike.

It was very pretty!

We hiked down under the natural bridge.

It was so fun having her here!!

As we walked out of the bridge this guy noticed he was matching Jadyn. So naturally she felt like she needed to take a picture with him!

We then took a beautiful drive up to Sedona. We took them up to the Chapel of the Holy Cross.

We showed them a few sites before the storm came.

I think the girls made five trips to Walmart while they were here. Here is Matt doing his civil duty, bringing back all the carts that were not properly put away.

We also enjoyed a nice little game night with some sparkling grape juice!

Sunday we took the girls to a Diamondbacks game.

We got seats in the All-you-can-eat section. It was awesome!

We had such a great time having the girls here. We love visitors! Then it was back to the real world. Next time I will fill you in on a few projects we have been working on!
