Favorite recipes:

Thanks to my mom and 4-H I have been baking and cooking for as long as I can remember. I used to like to try really complicated recipes. Now, I have decided if I can't make it in 20 minutes, I'm not trying it unless it looks REALLY good. Everything on this list should take about 20 minutes (or less) of your time; if it takes longer than that you are doing something wrong! So here is my ongoing list of favorite, mostly healthy and quick recipes:

4 oz. pork-Use your choice of pork (we had pork shoulder). Rub pork with seasoning (BBQ or Lawry's), put in crockpot on low. Fill with Dr. Pepper (1" or 2", it does not have to completely cover pork). Cook approximately 7 hours on low.

Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Bell Peppers (affiliate link)
This recipe does not fit into our 450 calories or less meal, but I figure at least it is healthier than eating it on a hoagie. It also takes longer than 20 minutes, but they are ssooo good!

Serve with ~ 11 multigrain scoops for one serving

Veggie dip
Serve with your favorite (or not so favorite) vegetables. We like cucumbers, carrots, and all bell peppers.

Granola bars
I found two recipes I liked when I made them. I mostly followed this recipe because when I went to the store I bought granola instead of using oats like this recipe called for. I added chocolate chips and butterscotch chips because the Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chunk granola bars are my favorite. I thought I bought plain granola like it said on the package, but it contained dried cranberries which were also great in the mix. (Don't worry, mine completely fell apart and still tasted great!)

My favorite fall snack: 10 candy corn pieces mixed with 20 pieces of dry roasted peanuts

AM Trail Mix:
     1 c Cheerios
     1 small box of raisins
     30 butterscotch chips
     30 chocolate chips
